Asians have their own way of looking young, from South Korea to Thailand, and there are no shortcuts. Their motivation and consistency play important roles in maintaining their beauty, even at the age of 50.

Use rice water

Rice water is a popular ingredient in many Japanese and Korean skincare products, and research has shown that it has anti-aging properties as well as the ability to lighten your skin. You can either use rice water in skincare products or make it yourself. You can use it to wash your face before cleansing or as a mist to hydrate your skin.

You can also use rice water to soften and shine your hair. It is critical to use clean rice water because you do not want impurities on your skin or hair.

Double cleanse your face

Double cleansing is a popular technique in Korea and Japan because it ensures that your face is free of impurities and dirt that accumulate after wearing makeup and sunscreen all day. The first cleanser is typically an oil-based cleanser, which helps to soothe the face while removing unwanted and oily substances from your pores.

The second cleanser is a standard water-based cleanser that removes any remaining residue. This allows other skincare products to penetrate your skin more easily and softens the texture of your skin.

Drink lemongrass tea

Lemongrass is widely used in Asian cooking, particularly Thai cuisine. Its fragrant smell brings out aromatic flavors and it has a plethora of benefits. Lemongrass tea is a great detoxifier for your body and may promote healthy digestion. It might also help reduce menstrual cramps and bloating.

Eating healthily is essential in promoting radiant skin and lemongrass tea is a nourishing drink that you can add to your diet.

Use products with snail mucin

Snail mucin has been used since Ancient Greece and is still used today. Snail mucin is widely used in Asian skincare products due to its complex blend of hyaluronic and glycolic acids, both of which are beneficial to the skin. The mucin also contains zinc, which soothes skin irritation; the combination of these ingredients makes your skin glow and shine brighter.

Try a Korean body scrub

Korean body scrubs differ from traditional body scrubs in that they require sandpaper-like texture mittens to remove excess gunk and dead skin cells from your body rather than just your bare hands and an exfoliating gel.

You can look for Korean spas near you or order the special mittens online. Depending on your pain threshold, it may be painful. However, it rejuvenates and softens your skin while also moisturizing it with body lotions.

Apply castor oil on hair and skin

Pure castor oil helps lock moisture in dry and damaged hair, making the hair softer. It may also help with dandruff problems by massaging the oil on your scalp. Applying castor oil on your eyelashes may also promote longer lashes.

As a face oil, castor oil promotes moisturization and smooths the skin. It has antioxidants that help prevent wrinkles and fine lines from appearing faster if you use it earlier in adulthood

Face massage with a jade roller/gua sha

Gua sha or jade rollers are surging in popularity these days around the world and they are worth all the hype. Originating from China, gua sha is traditionally used on the body to relieve muscle aches, chronic pain, and reduce inflammation after applying massage oil. However, by using a gentler force, it can be done on the face to improve blood circulation. By doing so, it reduces puffiness and releases muscle tension from the face.

Add sheet masks to your skin care routine

One of the best ways to take care of the skin is to use sheet masks and especially sheet masks with anti-aging ingredients that help with collagen. They’re practical to use and come with many benefits including skin brightening. They are perfect when it comes to reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
