There are many ways you can cut the time you spend cleaning and have a cleaner bathroom. You don’t have to rush out and buy fancy products or commercial cleaners. All you need are these simple cleaning tips to keep the bathroom cleaner without harsh chemicals.

Clean the tank

How often do you open the toilet tank and peek inside? Many of the stains happening in the toilet bowl could be coming from your tank. Add vinegar to your toilet tank to clean your toilet from the tank down. Simply pour in, and then flush several times.

Fizz your way to a cleaner toilet

This DIY project creates an all-natural and effective toilet cleaner. All you have to do is drop a fizzy toilet cleaner into your toilet and let it do the work. The recipe includes baking soda, essential oils, citric acid, vinegar, and hydrogen peroxide. Press the mixture into a pretty silicone mold or an old ice cube tray for a convenient toilet cleaning solution.

Clean the tub with no scrubbing

Getting down on your hands and knees to scrub the tub is a huge task. Soap scum, hard water deposits, and rust stains are not easy to deal with. Use a combination of cleaning vinegar and Dawn dish soap to clean the tub without scrubbing. The key is to let is set, and do the work for you.

Stock the right products in your bathroom

Do you have an instant mold stain and mildew remover, deep cleaning brush, or toilet ring remover? Keeping effective products on hand is key to keeping your bathroom healthy and clean. Plus, it will save you a lot of time and headache. With so many choices available, it’s often hard to tell what to use and how well it will work.

Use Pine-Sol on your shower door

Looking for a way to clean your shower doors and make your bathroom smell pretty good? Grab some Pine-Sol. Mix 1/8 cup of Pine-Sol with 1/2 gallon of warm water, soak a clean rag in the mixture, and then use it to wipe down your glass doors. You can also make it easier on yourself by putting the mixture into a spray bottle and spraying it on the doors. Finish by rinsing off the glass with warm water.

Whiten grout

You don’t need bleach or other harsh chemicals to return grout to a sparkling white. All you need to clean grout is baking soda, vinegar, and a small scrub brush or toothbrush. The cleaners are safe enough, and you can even recruit your children to help.

Rid the bathroom of that boy smell

If you are raising boys, you may be struggling to keep your bathroom smelling fresh. Boys can often “miss the mark” and leave a mess. Use baking soda, fresh lemon juice, and vinegar to clean, disinfect, and freshen the area around your toilet.

Get streak-free shine every time

It’s easy to get streak-free shine with a great homemade cleaning solution. All you need is a squirt or two and a quick wipe for an easy clean. Combine water, ammonia, rubbing alcohol, and Dawn dish soap. All you need is a squirt or two and a quick wipe for an easy clean.

Remove hard water stains

Hard water leaves a visible buildup around the handles of bathroom faucets that is almost impossible to remove. Use pure vinegar to remove the unsightly buildup from your bathroom faucet. Simply soak paper towels in vinegar and wrap them around the problem areas.
