Rat and mouse infestations can become a real nuisance in our homes, causing damage and spreading diseases. These are unwanted visitors that can wreak havoc. Effectively removing them is essential to maintaining a clean and safe environment. Instead of resorting to expensive and chemical methods, we present to you a homemade trap that you can assemble with a bucket and some simple materials.

This inexpensive option is equally effective and will help you keep these intruders at bay. So don’t worry, we have the perfect solution!

Goodbye rats and mice, welcome to home pest control! At the end of the article, you can find the video of this great idea.

How to make a rat trap with a bucket

Necessary materials:

  • 10 liter bucket.
  • Glue gun.
  • Transparent hard plastic the size of the bucket mouth.
  • Scissors.
  • 2 wooden boards the height of the bucket.
  • Wheat or other cereal

Procedure:

  • Bucket Preparation: Using the glue gun, start gluing the clear plastic to the mouth of the bucket. Make sure all edges are well covered and glued. The plastic must be tight.
  • Catching Opening: With the help of scissors, make two cross-shaped cuts in the plastic. These cuts will serve as an opening through which the rats will fall into the bucket.
  • Irresistible Bait: Place wheat or another appetizing grain inside the bucket. Drop a few grains on the surface of the plastic to attract rats.
  • Strategic positioning: Place the trap in places frequented by rats, such as dark corners or areas where they have detected activit

And that’s it! With this homemade trap, you can get rid of rats and mice effectively and without spending a lot of money. Remember to check the trap regularly and release any captured rodents according to your preferences.

Keep your home free of pests safely and easily! If you have any doubts regarding its procedure, we recommend you
