Three person were returning after receiving initiation from their Guru. Their Guru ji had taught them to have practical along with spiritual knowledge.

On their way, they were discussing various scriptures and puranas. After walking for long time, they stopped at place for rest.

When they stopped for rest, they opened their bag for food but unfortunately there was only one loaf of bread left in it.

All three thought that if they share this loaf of bread then it would not satisfy anyone’s hunger, so it would be better if only one of them eats it.

But now they thought – how do they know who is going to eat it?

All of them decided that they would leave decision to God. God would give signal and thinking this, all three of them laid down and soon fell asleep.

When they woke up next morning, first person said, “Last night, an angel came in my dream and took me to heaven for tour. Truly I had never seen such sight before, infinite peace, infinite beauty, I saw everywhere.

When I was in last phase of tour, a Mahatma dressed in white said – Son, take this bread and satisfy your hunger.”

When first person finished speaking, second one said, “What a strange thing, I too had similar dream. At end, Mahatma gave me clear instructions that I have done good to people throughout my life, hence I have right to eat this bread.”

Third person was sitting silently listening to both of them.

Then they both asked him, “What did you see?”

Third man replied, “There was nothing in my dream. I didn’t go anywhere. Nor did I see any Mahatma. But once at night, when I woke up, I got up and ate that bread.”

“What did you do? Why didn’t you talked to us before doing this?”, other two asked angrily.

Third person replied, “Only yesterday, Guru ji told us along with spiritual knowledge, we should understand importance of practical knowledge. In my case, God indicated to me that it is better to eat bread than to die of hunger and that is what I did.”
